Two phones at once
Mango is multipoint: two phones can stay connected at the same time. Pair the second one the same way. Pause on one, press play on the other, and the music switches over without re-pairing.
Everything you need, in the order you'll need it. Five minutes now, and you can leave the manual in the drawer.
Empty to full on USB-C. Ten minutes of charge gives about 3 hours of play.
How to charge
Touch and hold play/pause. The halo comes up at the base.
Wake it upBluetooth 5.3, two phones at once. Up to 30 m in open space, with a clear line of sight.
Pair it
Give Mango a full charge before its first day out. The USB-C port sits at the back, just above the halo.
Touch and hold play/pause for 2 seconds to switch Mango on. The halo comes up at the base. Do the same to switch it off.
At rest the top is smooth and dark. Bring your hand close and it lights from inside, showing you where to touch.
To save battery, Mango switches itself off after 20 minutes with nothing playing.
Touch and hold the Bluetooth zone for 2 seconds, until the halo pulses.
Open the Bluetooth settings and choose Mango in the list.
That's it. Volume works from the phone and from the top of Mango.
Mango is multipoint: two phones can stay connected at the same time. Pair the second one the same way. Pause on one, press play on the other, and the music switches over without re-pairing.
Up to 30 m in open space, with a clear line of sight. Walls, people and water all shorten that, so keep the phone in view when the signal matters.
No hard buttons. One translucent top, with touch zones that light up when your hand comes near.
The ring of light at the base doesn't light the room. It sets Mango on a soft cushion of light, and it's the reason you'll want to leave it on.
Out of the box, each Mango glows in its own colour:
The halo follows the music as it plays. The livelier choice for a party or a day outside.
The halo holds one colour you choose. Calmer, and better for a dinner table.
To switch between the two moods, touch and hold beach mode and play/pause together.
To pick the fixed colour, touch the palm repeatedly while in fixed colour.
Light takes power. The up to 16 hours of play are measured at 50 % volume, halo off. With the halo bright and reactive all day, expect about 12 hours. For the longest day out, switch the halo off: touch and hold volume down and the Bluetooth zone together for 2 seconds. Do the same to bring it back.
Indoors, walls and ceilings bounce the bass back to you. Outside, nothing does, and a speaker can sound thin. Beach mode lifts the low end and reshapes the sound for open air.
Touch the palm on top to switch it on, touch it again to switch it off. Back inside, turn it off: it's tuned for places with no walls.
Touch the palmTwo Mango become a real stereo pair: one plays the left channel, the other the right.
Not the same as multipoint: multipoint is two phones on one Mango, stereo is two Mango on one phone.
The feet are magnetic, so one Mango sits securely on top of another and they make a column.
Stacked, the speakers couple their bass. You get a fuller low end and more presence in the room. It doesn't simply turn everything up, and it isn't meant to: it's about weight in the sound, not volume.
Up to three can stack. There is nothing to set up: put one on top of another and the magnets line them up. To play in sync, link them first, as for stereo.
Fuller bass, more presenceMango is sealed to IP67: dust tight, and it survives immersion up to 1 m for 30 minutes. It also floats, with about a quarter of its body above the surface, so a drop in the pool is a non-event.

Dyed through, not printed.
The woven fabric is meant to be rinsed rather than babied.Let it dry first. Dry sand falls out with a few taps and a soft dry brush; wet sand gets rubbed in.
Rinse with fresh water under a gentle tap, then let it air dry in the shade. No radiator, no hair dryer.
Dab with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, rinse, then let it dry in the shade. No solvent, no bleach, no stiff brush on the weave.
Normal wear of the fabric isn't covered by the warranty, so a little care goes a long way.
Up to 16 hours, measured at 50 % volume, halo off. Loud music, beach mode and a bright halo all bring that down.
Touch play/pause and volume up together: the halo fills to show the charge.
About 2 hours from empty to full on USB-C. Ten minutes gives about 3 hours of play.
Put it away at about half charge and top it up every 3 months.
Heat. Don't charge it in full sun or in a hot car. Batteries prefer shade.
If the battery holds less than 80 % of its original capacity within 2 years, that's a warranty case.
Make sure Mango is in pairing mode: touch and hold the Bluetooth zone for 2 seconds. Keep the phone within a metre or so.
If you paired it before, open your phone's Bluetooth list, choose "forget this device" on Mango, and pair again.
Already two phones connected? Mango holds two at a time. Disconnect one, then pair the new one.
Usually distance or obstacles. The range is up to 30 m in open space with a clear line of sight; walls, people, a pocket or water in between shorten it a lot. Move the phone closer and in view.
A low battery can also cause drop-outs. Charge it and try again.
Water can sit in the fabric for a moment. Shake Mango gently, top up, and let it air dry. The sound comes back as it dries.
Check that the USB-C port is dry and free of sand. Then try another cable and another charger: 5 V, 2 A or more.
Check that the halo hasn't been dimmed or switched off: touch and hold volume down and the Bluetooth zone together for 2 seconds; do the same to bring it back. If it stays dark while music plays, charge Mango, then reset it.
Touch and hold volume down and volume up together for 10 seconds, until the halo flashes.
Afterwards, pair your phone again as if it were new.
